I’ve had the privilege of helping people realize their potential and live the life of their dreams for over a decade.  I’ve also been fortunate to work with a wide range of clients from multi-generational high net worth families to college graduates.  With each relationship, I gain more insight into how much our emotions and our history with money has an impact on our financial decisions.  When my clients experience life transitions, their investment portfolios are the last thing on their minds.  They are more concerned about navigating through big life decisions or having a plan in place in anticipation of a major event.  In being there for my clients, I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of going beyond investment management and developing a deeper relationship.

Because I worked with firms who primarily served high net worth clients, I was never able to work with friends and other young professionals in my network who had great income and savings potential but not much in the way of investment assets.  Most of them are often forced to learn for themselves.  If they do find a financial advisor who is willing to work with them, they’re often sold financial products or investments that may not be suitable.  I created Financial Staples to bring comprehensive financial planning services to this underserved demographic.  I’m passionate about financial education and I’m dedicated to helping my clients align their finances with their values and purpose so they can live their greatest lives.

Why Financial Staples?  In addition to being the financial expert among my friends, I’m the go-to person for all things culinary.  I love to entertain and, with my well-stocked kitchen, I’m always prepared to whip up a seated dinner for 8 at a moment’s notice.  I also believe in the power of a recipe, but I know how to improvise if needed.  This easily translates to a person’s financial world.  With staples (good financial habits) and a recipe (financial plan), anything is possible!

When I’m not working, you can find me exploring new restaurants, trying new recipes, listening to live music, or traveling.  Every Saturday in the fall, I’m either glued to a television or in a stadium watching college football.  My favorite team is my alma mater, The University of Alabama.

Why Financial Staples?


I’ve been in the financial services industry since 2004 and I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients. I’ve also developed a large network of other trusted financial professionals and I’m dedicated to expanding my knowledge through ongoing continuing education.


I believe that everyone should have access to financial education and guidance, not just the wealthy. I want to help clients build good financial habits early and create plans that will help them avoid costly financial mistakes over their lifetime.


I am compensated solely by the fees charged to my clients. I never receive commissions or sales incentives of any kind. In addition, I do sell financial products or receive referral fees. This allows me to work in your best interest at all times and give objective advice.
